The Soapbox

What happens when it all goes wrong? Frankly I don't know, but i'm working on it. I feel as if my whole life has been jerked from benieth my feet like a tablecloth in a magic act. I found out the hard way that love is not guaranteed to anyone. It may feel like love in the beginning, but it doesn't always lead to happiness. I took the road less traveled by and it led to heartache. Now I'm back at the crossroads, only this time I'm alone. Right now the pain is unbearable, but in time that will pass. To deal with heartache, one must look past the present and see what can be. At least that is what I'm doing. In the film "Long Kiss Goodnight," Geena Davis' character said "Life is pain, you just get used to it." I refuse to believe that. You never get used to having your heart broken. It hurts as much now as it did the first time. I also refuse to give up on love. I feel there is happiness somewhere, and I intend to find it.
